Agencies to watch for November

Welcome to Future Factory’s Ones to Watch, a series where we celebrate agencies from across the UK and the world making waves within the creative industry. Whether it’s outstanding creative work, a unique approach to how they work with clients, or an agency breaking new ground within the industry, we share all the details on exactly why they’re on our watch list!

Stereo Creative

First up on our list is the super cool Stereo Creative, a culturally charged creative agency that’s all about ‘taking culture beyond the sneakers that people wear’ and boy do they know how to step up the game! Led by the brilliant Andrew Duff and Leah Ogilvie, the agency has been on a roll since 2007, with Andrew playing an instrumental part in driving the agencies mission forward, with the support of Leah (the pitch and presentation powerhouse), the studio is now home to many creative minds with offices across the globe and clients in every sector.

Stereo Creative’s claim to fame? They are a big player when it comes to the sporting space, most recently leading on the launch of the new FIFA store. Using their fantastic skills of digging into the real cultural heartbeat of brands and their briefs, whilst ensuring no nuance is untapped, it’s refreshing to see how they’re connecting iconic brands with new and modern audiences in a bold and fresh way.

Their motto is ‘we exist to grab attention’, and they’ve certainly grabbed ours. With a quick click onto their website I’m sure you’ll feel the same, so do yourself a favour and go give them a stalk… you’ll thank us later!

Sergeant Walnuts

Next up, is Sergeant Walnuts – a Manchester-based creative agency who are all about building brands that command attention, and they’ve certainly commanded ours! Co-founded by the genius duo Gary Toal and Richard Attwater, these guys have a combined 40+ years of experience in working on world-class creative campaigns for top-tier brands. They’ve built an agency that thrives on bold ideas and “unreasonable clients” – the kind of brands that want to stand out and make waves, not just fit in.

From revamping Rudy’s pizzeria, to building quirky brands like Oddy Knocky from the ground up, Sergeant Walnuts has made it clear they’re here to shake things up and bring a brilliantly quirky approach to the agency landscape, even down to their unique name. In fact, fun fact, their name (which sounds straight out of a comedy sketch) was actually purchased from comedian Bob Mortimer!

In a world where everyone’s doing the same old thing, Sergeant Walnuts is standing out, making brands that are unmissable and simply unforgettable – that’s why they’re the cheeky disruptors we’ve gone absolutely ‘nuts’ for!

Creative Equals

Last but by no means least, we have Creative Equals, a group on a mission to shake up the industry by embracing diversity, equality and inclusion. They’re making waves with innovative approaches to market research by embracing diversity, equality, and inclusion in all of their marketing strategies – as shown by their incredible work with the likes of Philips on their global transformation project!

Led by the powerhouse that is Ali Hanan, former creative director for top agencies across the UK (yes, she’s even worked on IKEA, talk about a dream client!), Creative Equals is driving real change in fostering environments where diverse talent can thrive and shine. With Ali’s dedication and vision, she’s created a movement that’s not only making the industry more equitable, but unlocking fresh opportunities within mentorship, networking and wider resources that drive growth and empower underrepresented groups.

If Creative Equals wasn’t already on your radar, they should be now!

Stay tuned for next month’s Ones to Watch, where we’ll be celebrating 3 more agencies from across the UK and the world making waves within the creative industry.
